At 1080p, the Black can shoot at up to 120fps, while the Silver maxes out at 60fps. And there’s also a difference in the video compression. The Black can record its video up to a 60MB/s bitrate, compared to an upper limit of 45Mb/s with the Silver. Tip: GoPros don’t come with a memory card as standard.
GoPro has not changed from the 1/2.3 inch sensor used in Hero 3 and Hero 3+ Black for Hero 4 Black. It still has 4,000×3,000 pixels making it a 12-megapixel camera.
